December Rain

The weather man predicted rain today with a mix of snow.  So far, we have had a day full of rain but thankfully no snow....yet.  The stores were busy as they always are when they predict snow.  I guess people think they are going to be stranded inside for days and are preparing for such an ocassion.  If they looked at the extended forecast, they would realize that it is only for a day.  I don't mind the rain but I don't particularly like the cold.  Hot cocoa anyone?

Jinxed

So, my last blog was about the rain and snow.  Since then, we have had lots of rain and Saturday it is predicted that we will have a snow mixture.  I guess the lesson should be, watch out what you talk about because it could come true.  The same happened at work.  I told myself it was going to be a busy day.  I ended up having to work a little late in order to get stuff done.  So, once again, I jinxed myself.  Think it will work if I say I am going to be rich?

Rainy Day

This picture is about as far away from today's weather as I can get.  We have definitely had our share of rain this year.  Of course, I am not going to complain as there are other states that have had snow.  Growing up in Utah and living in Denver for 5 years, I feel like I have had enough snow to last a lifetime.  That is one of the reasons I just love Virginia.  We do not get a lot of snow here compared to those other states.  The one thing I have noticed though is that we get ice.  I never thought I would go out to my car and have the side of it completely frozen shut with no way to get into it until it thawed out some.  Those are the days that you pray the office is closed so you can go back in and curl up in front of a fire and read a book.  So I say, c'mon rain; you're better than the snow!!!  And to the summer....we will see you next year!

Poor Review

When we were preparing for our wedding last year, we had to select a photographer. We came across a couple that I wanted to interview and set the appointments. Well, the first lady we talked to was with Beck and Call Photography. She had us drive to her house in Fredericksburg so that we could see her work. After the interview, we both felt that maybe we should just go with her; after all, she had the best package. When it came time to make the appointment to take the engagement photo shoots, she wasn't so cooperative. After making several appointments, she finally kept one. We went to the most beautiful place here in Richmond to take these pictures, Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens. She had us posing in very strange poses. After seeing the pictures she took, we decided that there wasn't a single picture that we could use as an engagement photo. We were highly disappointed. She had some pictures where we were fish-eyed; some where we were too far in the background so you focused on the flowers instead of the happy couple.
The worst was her shadows actually cast upon us in a few photos. So, being the nice person that I am, I emailed her trying to make her believe that we were not satisfied with me in the pictures instead of the real reason being that we thought she was a very amateur photographer. She responded by insulting my husband saying that she had to throw out more pictures due to them being bad of him. Excuse me?!? She honestly didn't think that her photography had anything to do with that? Regardless, we fired her and ended up hiring Dan Iott Photography. We met with him and he was totally awesome. He was such a big help at our rehearsal and the pictures that he took of our wedding were totally awesome! We absolutely LOVED them. Instead of struggling to find one we really liked taken by Jennifer at Beck and Call, we were overwhelmed by trying to narrow our selection down to 40 from the pictures taken by Dan Iott.
I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for a fun, good photographer.

Long story short (well, maybe not so short), Jennifer at Beck and Call emailed me asking me to review her work on different websites. LOL I couldn't believe this. She actually wanted ME to review her work? After I fired her? Was she kidding? I took the opportunity to give her the poor review that she deserved. OMG, I can't believe how much she complained to the websites to have them take down the poor review. No wonder her ratings were higher. She disputes anything that is negative. Now how deceptive is that? I feel sorry for any bride that hires Beck and Call Photography as they are going to be highly disappointed. Jennifer told me she relies on PhotoShop to correct errors in my opinion that any good photographer would have avoided in the first place. I am sure you will see by the samples the difference between the two photographers. I don't know about you, but I will use Dan Iott Photography any day! Thank you Dan!!!

Acai Berry Detox - Liars? Definitely!!

Well, I caved in. I kept reading articles about how people are losing weight using the Acai Berry/Colon Cleanser diet. So I decided to try it. It took almost 2 weeks for the pills to arrive. Luckily I wasn't on the 14 day free trial or I would have been SOL with them hitting my credit card for $89.95. Instead, after I filled out all the blanks on the order form, I changed my mind and "X"d out of Explorer. Apparently they had my information already stored and the next day started calling me every hour until I answered. The lady convinced me that it would only cost me $39.95 for a 30 day supply. I had until the end of the 30 days to call and cancel and they would "refund my money" while I was on the phone. The next day, I kept getting calls again. This time it was from a company claiming to be the SAME company (but different number/area code) and they wanted to sell me the Colon Cleanser. I told them to just ship me what I originally ordered and that I wasn't interested in the Colon Cleanser. After a week, I hadn't received any kind of confirmation and no product. So, I tried to call the Customer Service 866#. Good luck getting hold of someone. They put you on what I like to call permahold. They do however refer you to log onto a website and talk to a live representative there. I opted for that option. I was chatting with a live person and cancelled my order. At the same time, I told her I wanted a refund. She said "yes". 10 days after placing my original order, STILL no product and now no refund. So, I jumped online again and talked to "Jerome". He told me that yes the account was cancelled and that the first 30 supply has already been shipped. However, they shipped me BOTH the Acai Berry and the Life Cleanse. Excuse me? I didn't ORDER the Life Cleanse. All he could tell me was that it was a combo pack and that since it has already shipped, they would not refund my money until I returned the bottles..... that I hadn't received yet. So, I mentioned to him that I was going to keep MY promise and I was going to prevent them from taking any additional money from me and I was going to post on multiple websites how they are frauds in what they tell you. I cancelled my credit card and my credit card company is issuing me a new card. I have also posted complaints about them. If you decide to order the Acai Berry, I will post links at the bottom of this blog for a more legit company to order from that are MUCH less expensive. Whatever you do, DO NOT order from: www.acaiberrydetox.com with a customer service number of 866-949-0138 or a website of www.myordersupport.com BAD COMPANY that LIES to the customers. (I even have both of the conversations saved if I ever need to prove anything)

Long story short. Day 13 and the box finally arrives. I have thought about dumping all the product out of the bottles and returning just the "bottles" as instructed but I figured I still would not get my refund and besides, I cancelled my card so they couldn't charge it with fraudulent charges. So, I figured I would just take the pills and hope that they work. I will blog my results as I have time. Wish me luck.

Now for the legit websites I said I would post:
http://www.luckyvitamin.com/item/itemKey/62983
http://www.luckyvitamin.com/item/itemKey/78902
http://www.luckyvitamin.com/item/itemKey/80131

After I finish my first 30 days, if this is working, you can bet your ass that I will be ordering from this company instead.

Chocolate Devotion

Ok, so anyone that knows me knows that my favorite ice cream is Chocolate Devotion from ColdStone. How could anything be better? We are talking chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips, brownies and fudge. OMG, talk about a chocolate lovers heaven! So yummy. Well, last night I was craving one. You know how that is. When you start craving something, you are never satisfied until you get it. As luck would have it, I ended up getting a bad headache and heading to bed before we could go. Now this is fate.... today, the Reach Flyer came out and there was a coupon on the first page for guess what?!? Yep! ColdStone! Can you say absolutely delicious? :)

The beauty of nature

Today I was out at the pool and this gorgeous butterfly flew right by me and landed on one of our bushes. I jumped up and took this picture with my camera on my phone. Wow, I am surprised I was able to get it to snap right as the wings opened. Totally awesome!

Bass Pro Shop

OK, I admit it. I went with Ken to the Bass Pro Shop. I just had to see if it really had "everything you could imagine doing under the sun". Well, it specifically is for the hunter/camper/boater. I must admit, it was huge and had lots of entertaining things to look at (the fish tank in the back under the waterfall). I did manage to find ONE thing I am completely excited about. They have a dutch oven. I couldn't believe it. So, Ken told me I could buy him one for his birthday. Oh how sweet of him. I purchased a cookbook which will in turn force me to buy it for him for that occasion. Anyone have any good recipes?

What to do

Well, it's Saturday morning and I am doing laundry. I don't mind doing laundry. Is it what I would love to be doing right now? Certainly not. I would much rather be back in the Bahamas. I can't believe it has almost been a year since I was last there. So, now I am torn about going outside and cleaning/hanging out at the pool or cleaning the house. Would be nice if someone would jump in and help me vacuum or scrub a bathroom. It's not like it takes a long time to clean. But then I think about how nice the weather is (hot and humid) and just want to go jump in the pool. So what do I do? Sit on my computer and type a blog and get absolutely nothing done. Good one Tammy! On that note, I am going to get off this thing, go clean the house and hopefully be done in time to enjoy the pool! This way.... Winner takes ALL!!!

Dentist - Friend or Foe?

Well, last week I was chewing gum and discovered that it was sticking to one of my teeth. So, I quickly make an appointment with my dentist to find out what is going on. Of course, it can't be good news. I actually had broken part of a tooth and I was going to need a crown. So, today I went in to have the first part of the process completed. My appt was at 8:00 AM. It took 2 1/2 hours AND I was STILL numb at 12:00. Needless to say, my jaw is sore tonight. UGH! My dentist was my friend as he gave me extra Novocaine because I was feeling some pain but he is my foe because this one stupid tooth is going to cost me $580 and that is AFTER insurance. Holy Crap!

I now pronounce you.....

Well, it is official. I am now married to a wonderful man. As you look through the pictures, you will see that he makes me smile from ear to ear. I am such a lucky woman to have met him. I am also very happy that my kids were able to fly here to be a part of it. I only wish we had more time together AFTER the wedding to relax and enjoy things. I was thrilled that my father flew out here to walk me up the aisle. What an honor for me to have such a wonderful family and to become a part of such a wonderful family on his side. God has truly blessed me.

Busy Busy Busy

I guess I have been a little slack on this website. For any of those that continue to check it, I do appreciate it. Just a quick update on what is going on. I have been busy working on wedding details. Enough said. ha ha I ordered the invitations and they just came in. I need to put them all together. Next, I purchased the paper to print programs on. I had a great time creating them. Thank you Internet for many wonderful ideas. We have the cake ordered and hired a florist. We have picked out the songs for the string duo to play and have gone over everything with the photographer. I didn't realize it was so much work.

A nice break from all this is credited to a friend of mine from high school. She is coming to visit for just the weekend. Devin moved out and we were able to get his room cleaned, painted and set up so she has a real room to actually stay in.

I have been catching up with friends on FaceBook. I think most of the friends from high school there requested to be friends just so they can see pictures of you and if you are successful or not. ha ha

We are having our first REAL snowstorm of the year. You know what they say... March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. I sure hope that is true. Snow storms here are so much different than in Utah. It is a wetter snow here and things ice up easily. Most schools have already closed for Monday. Now I just need work to close for the day and I am a very happy person. :)

Friends on Facebook?

So, believe it or not, I had 3 people hit me up today alone for a profile on facebook. So, I finally gave in and created a page. I hope you all enjoy. BTW, I put my name as Tammy Agee and not Tammy Gray because I didn't want to have to go back in and change it later. :) I know.... lazy!!! So here I am on a Saturday night and I am playing around on Facebook and blogs instead of doing important things like booking my kids plane tickets here. Go figure.. I have always been the BEST mom... *cough cough*
